Job summary

The Longwood Collective, Inc. is seeking a talented Project Manager, District Services to lead district-wide operations for the Longwood Medical and Academic Area (LMA) in Boston.

You will oversee construction coordination, district asset management, and programs such as beautification, placemaking, wayfinding and signage, and banners, while supervising the Area Planning Field Assistant. Longwood Collective values an inclusive environment and equal opportunity employment.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of municipal government operations.
• Degree in urban planning, construction management, civil engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of professional experience; construction field experience preferred.
• CAD and GIS experience desirable.
• Strong communication, teamwork and customer service orientation.

Responsibilities

• Serve as liaison with City, State and regional agencies on construction coordination, city services, and initiatives such as green infrastructure and inclusive design.
• Lead major initiatives such as the wayfinding and signage project, including managing the vendor and delivering on time and on budget.
• Train and supervise the Field Engineer Planning Assistant in conducting regular surveys of Longwood.
• Collaborate with other team members on programs such as Outside// and Emergency Preparedness.
• Maintain key contact lists at member institutions and public agencies.
• Develop and sustain relations with utilities and construction projects.
• Manage department activities related to construction coordination, city services, beautification, asset management and planning operations.
• Supervise drafting/publishing notices for coordination and road projects.
