Job summary

Maschio's Food Services, Inc. in Somerset County, NJ seeks a District Chef for a full-time, Monday–Friday day-shift role with occasional nights/weekends for catering events. Travel within the school district is required.

You will oversee and train cooks, ensure proper cooking procedures and presentation, and manage food orders and monthly inventory in a safe, sanitary environment. The ideal candidate has culinary and catering experience, satellite preparation skills, and ServSafe certification.

Qualifications

• Culinary experience is required.
• Must be willing to travel within the school district.
• ServSafe Certification is required.
• Experience in catering and satellite preparation are preferred.
• K-12 experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and train cooks in each school within the district.
• Ensure proper cooking procedures and presentation are observed.
• Place food orders and manage monthly inventory.
• Maintain a safe and sanitary work environment.
• Assist with chef testing and travel within the district as needed.
