Job summary

Maschio's Food Services, Inc. is seeking a District Chef for our school food service program in the Essex County, NJ area. This is a full-time role, Monday through Friday, with occasional nights and weekend catering events in a fast-paced team environment.

The ideal candidate has culinary experience, is willing to travel within the district, and can obtain work documentation for schools. ServSafe certification is required, and experience in catering and satellite preparation is highly valued.

• Must be able to obtain proper documentation to work in schools.
• Must have experience in catering.

• K-12 experience a plus.
• Creating different menu items while adhering to school food service guideline NSLP.
• ServSafe certification required.
• Inventory and quality control.
• Maintain a clean kitchen.
• Follow safety rules at all times.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals for the district school program in Essex County.

• Oversee satellite kitchen preparation and menu execution.
