As a District Sales Manager Trainee for Frito Lay, you will complete a 9-month onboarding program to develop the skills needed to promote into a Sales District Manager role. During onboarding, you'll undergo 4-6 months of route-level training to learn the business foundation, understand our Direct Store Delivery (DSD) network and supply chain, and grasp the role of frontline route sales reps you will eventually lead. As a District Sales Manager, you will oversee all aspects of a sales district, leading 10-15 Route Sales Representatives (RSRs) and managing a $5-15 million business. Strong leadership, interpersonal skills, and adaptability in a dynamic environment are crucial for success in this role.

Responsibilities
  • Complete all activities in the Sales District Manager Trainee onboarding program
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with customers (store management) and grow sales through effective execution of sales programs and initiatives
  • Lead district meetings to plan and achieve sales objectives
  • Coach route sales reps on performance, selling, and customer service skills
  • Develop sales strategies using statistical data and PepsiCo-specific applications
  • Partner with the supply team to create accurate forecasts ensuring product availability
  • Deliver sales presentations to customers as needed
  • Maintain flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, and weekends

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Estimated salary range: $70,700 - $118,400
  • Salary is determined based on skills, experience, and location; your recruiter can provide specifics
  • Post-training, promotion to Sales District Leader with a 15% target bonus
  • Potential salary increase upon promotion within company guidelines
  • Paid time off includes parental leave, vacation, sick, and bereavement leave

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • At least 2 years of team leadership with proven sales results
  • Experience in consumer packaged goods and DSD environment preferred
  • Strong motivation, communication, negotiation, and influencing skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to meet DOT & Fleet requirements
  • Safe driving record preferred
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs periodically
  • Legal right to work in the U.S. required
