Job summary

EquipmentShare is hiring a District Sales Manager to lead sales efforts and build a high-performing team across multiple locations.

You will recruit, train, and develop sales professionals, drive revenue growth, and manage key metrics such as fleet utilization and new account production. The role requires on-site leadership, strong communication, and a customer-first mindset.

Qualifications

  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Authorized to work in the U.S.
  • 3–4 years in rental industry, preferably in a management role.
  • Outside sales history or sales management experience.

Responsibilities

  • Lead by example and inspire others to perform to their highest potential while maintaining a professional appearance.
  • Build and develop a team through recruiting, interviewing, hiring, training and reviews.
  • Maximize sales performance across multiple locations and monitor territory trends.
  • Conduct monthly reviews with reps to identify opportunities and estimate profit projections.
  • Track metrics like fleet utilization, territory coverage, new accounts, rate achievement and customer satisfaction.
  • Communicate clearly with the sales team and set actionable items with urgency.
  • Set measurable goals and expectations for all team members.
  • Support job-site activities and projects at remote and on-site locations.
  • Assist with equipment rental, sales and service when needed by customers on-site.

We’re hiring a District Sales Managerand we’re looking for someone who’s ready to grow with us, bring energy and drive to their work, and help us build the future of construction.

Salary range: $130,000-$140,000. Factors including past experience and location may affect final compensation rate.

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and offers overtime pay after working 40 hours. (This role is subject to on-call scheduling with additional compensation provided)

Primary Responsibilities
  • Lead by example and inspire others to perform to their highest potential, maintaining a professional appearance at all times.
  • Responsible for building a team. Recruiting sources, interview, hire, train and develop amazing people. Conduct reviews and performance evaluations as necessary to produce positive results. Assist location personnel in training for all system requirements.
  • Ensure maximum sales performance at multiple locations.
  • Conduct monthly reviews with sales representatives to understand their territory and business trends. Identify and recommend areas for improvement and future revenue opportunities and estimate profit projections.
  • Monitor sales metrics including, but not limited to: fleet utilization; territory coverage; new account production; rate achievement; aged receivables and customer satisfaction.
  • Effectively, clearly and accurately communicate information to keep the sales team informed of issues. Provide action items to improve issues with a sense of urgency.
  • Establish reasonable and measurable goals with well defined expectations for the sales team members.
  • Manages and supports job site activities and projects with remote and on site involvement.
  • Assists with Equipment rental, sales, and service when needed by customers on-site.
  • Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following and enforcing standards and procedures while complying with legal regulations.
  • District and regional level travel required

Skills & Qualifications
  • You have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
  • You are authorized to work in the U.S.

Education and Experience
  • At least 3-4 years of rental industry experience required, preferably in a management role.
  • Outside sales history and or Sales management experience.
Physical Requirements
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
