Job Description

Optimus seeks a dynamic, organized, customer-focused full-cycle District Sales Manager to help achieve growth goals by assisting fleets in reducing carbon emissions and meeting environmental milestones. The role involves being a primary ambassador to new potential commercial truck fleets and supporting existing clients in a repeat buying cycle.

This full-time remote position is preferably based in an area with convenient travel options, with travel requirements up to 50%. The company offers a flexible, evolving work environment with opportunities for growth. Responsibilities include generating new opportunities, forecasting sales, and achieving revenue targets while ensuring customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities
  • Proven hunter with experience working with large commercial vehicle fleets, either as a Tier one supplier or OEM.
  • Become an expert on the Vector System, its benefits, and the biodiesel market.
  • Explain complex technical concepts clearly and effectively.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, including experience presenting TCO concepts.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with fleet and sustainability managers.
  • Manage long educational sales cycles and cultivate lasting client relationships.
  • Develop action plans with your manager to meet quarterly OKRs and other sales metrics.
  • Coordinate with the customer success team for onboarding.
  • Navigate complex enterprise structures for stakeholder alignment.
  • Communicate effectively within the team and with senior management.
  • Identify market trends and provide product feedback.
  • Experience with CRM tools for account management.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Minimum 8+ years in sales or business development with complex, long-lead sales cycles.
  • Minimum 5+ years in fleet trucking and/or aftermarket parts sales.
  • Successful track record in leading complex sales with multiple stakeholders.
  • Ability to learn quickly and immerse in alternative energy and diesel vehicles.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and documentation skills.
  • Ownership mindset and adaptability in a dynamic environment.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and creativity skills.
  • Willingness to travel domestically (50% or more).
  • Experience in transportation/fuel environment preferred.
  • Pride in quality and customer satisfaction.
