Job summary

Dunham’s Sports is seeking a Retail District Manager to lead and direct all stores within the district, with full profit and loss responsibility. This role covers stores in Tennessee or the surrounding area and requires strong leadership across multiple locations.

Responsibilities include analyzing sales trends, optimizing inventory and presentation, recruiting talent, managing payroll, and ensuring excellent customer service while executing company objectives and protecting assets.

Qualifications

• Six+ years of retail management experience with progressively more responsibility, managing multi-unit operations with full P&L responsibility.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Big-box retail management and/or equivalent education and experience combination will be considered.
• Proficiency in using Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Analyze district sales results and trends to increase sales.
• Maintain inventory mix and presentation to maximize sales per store.
• Recruit and select associates across the district.
• Control payroll hours and conduct store audits.
• Monitor inventory shrink across the district.
• Maintain high customer service levels through interactions with staff and customers.
• Train and develop hourly and management associates within the district.
• Ensure fair administration of HR policies.
• Achieve district annual sales targets and execute company objectives.
• Protect company assets through expense controls and loss prevention.
• Identify and develop new business opportunities and communicate priorities.
