Job summary

MMR Constructors, Inc. is seeking a District Quality Manager with QA/QC experience in pipe fabrication, welding, pressure piping, or industrial construction.

Located in Baton Rouge with some travel to Fernwood, MS, the role requires leading QC activities and ensuring compliance with ASME codes. The candidate should be AWS CWI certified and able to develop and maintain QC plans, ITPs, weld maps, and material traceability.

Qualifications

• QA/QC experience in pipe fabrication, welding, pressure piping, or industrial construction.
• AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) or equivalent
• Strong working knowledge of ASME B31.1, B31.3 and ASME Section IX
• Knowledge of ASME Section VIII for fabricated pressure components
• Experience developing and maintaining Quality Control Plans, ITPs, weld maps, weld procedures
• Material traceability and hydrostatic/pneumatic test documentation
• NDE/NDT methods and records
• Final turnover packages and ISO 9001 knowledge or experience
• Able to read isometrics, P&IDs, fabrication drawings and specs
• Capable of internal quality audits and NCR/root-cause actions
• Strong MS Office and quality/document-control software usage
• Excellent organizational/documentation skills
• Effective communication with shop personnel, welders, supervisors, customers, inspectors
• Experience with ASME Authorized Inspector interactions
• ISO 9001 knowledge or experience

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop QC inspectors and audits.
• Stop production when quality requirements aren’t met.
• Hold welders, fitters, supervisors and management accountable.
• Work in a fast-paced fabrication shop environment.
• Interface with customers and third-party inspectors.
• Apply root-cause analysis to quality issues.
• Maintain quality documentation and records.
