Job summary

SkillsUSA Texas is seeking a District Coordinator to support the Executive Director in operating the State office and all district functions. The role involves building leadership and partnerships with school administrators and teachers to grow membership and participation.

The District Coordinator will plan and execute Fall Leadership and District Contests, provide guidance to new chapter advisors, and work closely with State Office Staff to support district activities.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of experience in the education field.
• Experience with SkillsUSA, CTE classrooms, and CTSOs is a plus.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; strong planning and organizational abilities.
• Ability to work independently and in a team; high professional and ethical standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a communication system with key stakeholders.
• Implement local, district, and regional strategies for growth of SkillsUSA Texas.
• Collaborate with Department of Education and local school administrators to build membership.
• Prepare district leadership events, contests, and standards in coordination with the Director of Championships.
• Support State Office Staff and execute Fall Leadership for the district.
• Attend and support SkillsUSA Texas Leadership and Skills Conferences.
• Participate in Summer Leadership in coordination with district officers.
