Job summary

Roma ISD Plant Maintenance, Texas, seeks an Assistant Plumber under general supervision to support district plumbing systems. You will assemble, install, maintain, and repair pipes, fittings, and fixtures to ensure safe operation of water, gas, and drainage systems across facilities.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, a Texas driver’s license, and ideally a Texas plumber’s license. Two years of plumbing experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Texas plumber’s license preferred.
• Clear and valid Texas driver’s license.
• Knowledge of plumbing repairs, maintenance and installation techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, schematics and written reference material.
• Ability to perform mathematical calculations.
• 2 years plumbing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, install, maintain, and test pipes, fittings, and fixtures according to specifications and codes.
• Identify needed repairs and complete them per work orders.
• Inspect completed work and ensure areas are clean.
• Respond to emergency calls as needed.
• Maintain inventory of tools and materials and follow safety procedures.
