Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a District Support Pharmacist to cover scheduling gaps and support pharmacy teams across stores in the district.

You will travel as needed, oversee operations, ensure safe and accurate dispensing, and act as Pharmacy Manager’s proxy when on duty. The role emphasizes compassionate patient care, teamwork, and risk management, with immunization responsibilities where permissible.

Qualifications

• Active Pharmacist License in the state where the Store is located.
• Active National Provider Identifier (NPI).
• Not on the DEA Excluded Parties list.

Responsibilities

• Travel within the district to fill pharmacist shifts as scheduled by the DPC; oversee the pharmacy and serve as the Pharmacy Manager's proxy during bench shifts without overlap.
• Support safe and accurate prescription fulfillment by following and directing the pharmacy workflow procedures and safety guardrails.
• Assume Pharmacy Manager's day-to-day duties when serving as the only or primary pharmacist-on-duty.
• Coach the pharmacy team to provide compassionate care and assist with insurance and/or medication issues.
• Proactively offering immunizations and supporting pharmacy staff to learn immunization practice.
