Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a District Support Pharmacist (DSP) to support pharmacy operations across stores within the district. This part-time role requires travel within a reasonable radius to cover shifts, manage dispensing workflows, and ensure patient safety with vaccine administration where permitted.

The DSP will support the Pharmacy Manager, cover bench shifts, and contribute to a positive patient experience by delivering compassionate care while following all CVS policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• Active Pharmacist License in the state where the Store is located.
• Active National Provider Identifier (NPI).
• Not on the DEA Excluded Parties list.

Responsibilities

• Traveling the district to fill pharmacist shifts as scheduled and oversee the pharmacy.
• Support safe and accurate prescription fulfillment following workflow procedures.
• Assumes Pharmacy Manager’s day-to-day duties when serving as the only or primary pharmacist-on-duty.
• Contribute to positive patient experiences by showing empathy and cooperative care, coordinating with the healthcare team.
• Engage in immunizations and mentor Pharmacy Technicians in immunization procedures.
