Job summary

CVS Health in Tennessee is seeking a part-time District Support Pharmacist (DSP) to cover scheduling gaps and support pharmacy teams. The role emphasizes patient safety, immunizations, and adherence to federal and state laws, with travel within the district as needed.

The position requires an active Pharmacist License in the state, an active NPI, and no DEA exclusions, with preferred 1–2 years of relevant experience. Anticipated weekly hours are 15.

Qualifications

• Active Pharmacist License in the state where the Store is located.
• Active National Provider Identifier (NPI).
• Not on the DEA Excluded Parties list.
• 1-2 years of related work experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting.

Responsibilities

• Travel within a reasonable radius to support market staffing as business needs require.
• Cover pharmacist scheduling gaps and serve as the Pharmacy Manager's proxy during bench shifts.
• Support safe and accurate prescription fulfillment and follow pharmacy workflow procedures.
• Discuss and provide immunizations and patient counseling to improve care.
• Assist in supervision of Pharmacy Technicians and inventory management, including cold chain protections.
• Maintain compliance with all laws, CVS Health policies, and data privacy standards.
