Job summary
CVS Health is seeking a District Support Pharmacist to cover staffing gaps across stores within the district, under the Pharmacy Manager’s supervision. You will ensure safe dispensing, provide counseling, and support immunization services while traveling between locations.
The role emphasizes patient care, adherence to safety protocols, and collaboration with the pharmacy team to maintain high-quality service across multiple CVS locations.
Qualifications
- Active Pharmacist License in the state where the store is located.
- Active National Provider Identifier (NPI) is required.
- Not on the DEA Excluded Parties list.
Responsibilities
- Travel within a reasonable radius to support market staffing as business needs require.
- Oversee the pharmacy and serve as the Pharmacy Manager’s proxy during bench shifts.
- Support safe and accurate prescription fulfillment by following workflow procedures and safety guardrails.
- Act as a Pharmacy Manager’s day-to-day proxy when on duty.
- Contribute to patient experiences by providing empathetic, compassionate care and addressing insurance/medication issues.
- Assist in immunizations and support pharmacy technicians in immunization delivery.
- Assist with inventory management and protect cold chain products across pharmacies.
