Job summary

CVS Health is hiring a District Support Pharmacist to help manage pharmacy operations across stores in the district. You will cover scheduling gaps, support the Pharmacy Manager, and ensure safe, accurate dispensing and patient care.

This part‑time role requires an active pharmacist license in the state, a valid NPI, and willingness to travel within the district. You’ll lead by example, coach staff, and uphold CVS policies while delivering clinical services and immunizations where permitted.

Qualifications

• Active Pharmacist License in the state where the store is located.
• Active National Provider Identifier (NPI).
• Not on the DEA Excluded Parties list.

Responsibilities

• Live our purpose by helping to manage and improve patient health through safe and appropriate dispensing, counseling, and immunizing practices.
• Travel the district to fill pharmacist shifts as scheduled by the DPC; oversee the pharmacy and serve as the Pharmacy Manager’s proxy during bench shifts without overlap.
• Support safe and accurate prescription fulfillment by following pharmacy workflow procedures and safety guardrails.
• Assume Pharmacy Manager’s day‑to‑day duties when serving as the only or primary pharmacist‑on‑duty.
• Contribute to positive patient experiences by coaching the pharmacy team to show empathy and collaborative care.
