Job summary

CVS Health in Florida seeks a District Support Pharmacist to cover scheduling gaps across stores in the district, traveling as needed and serving as the Pharmacy Manager's proxy during bench shifts. This role supports pharmacy operations and patient care in multiple CVS locations.

Qualifications

• Active pharmacist license in the state where the CVS location is located.
• An active NPI number is required for practice.
• Must not be on the DEA Excluded Parties list.

Responsibilities

• Living our purpose by helping to manage and improve patient health through safe and appropriate dispensing, counseling, and immunizing practices
• Traveling the district to fill pharmacist shifts as scheduled; serving as the Pharmacy Manager's proxy during bench shifts
• Supporting safe and accurate prescription fulfillment by following pharmacy workflow procedures and safety guardrails
• Assumes Pharmacy Manager's day-to-day duties when serving as the only or primary pharmacist-on-duty
• Contributing to positive patient experiences by showing empathy and genuine care and coaching the team to do the same
• Proactively offering and delivering immunizations to keep patients healthy
• Supporting inventory management with focus on cold chain protection
• Remaining flexible for scheduling and business needs; maintaining safe, inclusive team dynamic
• Maintaining clinical/technical skills; pursuing trainings and CMEs
• Supporting access to care through pharmacist-delivered clinical care where permissible
