Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a District Support Pharmacist to cover pharmacy operations across stores in the district. You will assist with dispensing, counseling, immunizations, and staff coaching while acting as a proxy for the Pharmacy Manager when needed.

You will travel within a reasonable radius to fill shifts, support the pharmacy team, and ensure compliant, patient-centered care in a dynamic retail setting.

Qualifications

• Active Pharmacist License in the state where the Store is located.
• Active National Provider Identifier (NPI).
• Not on the DEA Excluded Parties list.

Responsibilities

• Living our purpose by promoting safe dispensing, counseling, and immunizing practices.
• Traveling the district to fill pharmacist shifts and support the Pharmacy Manager’s proxy duties.
• Supporting safe and accurate prescription fulfillment by following workflow procedures.
• Assumes Pharmacy Manager's day-to-day duties when scheduled as the primary pharmacist-on-duty.
• Contributing to positive patient experiences through empathy and coaching the pharmacy team.
• Proactively offering and delivering immunizations to keep patients healthy; coaching staff to immunize.
• Supporting inventory management with emphasis on cold chain protections.
• Remaining flexible for scheduling and business needs while maintaining a safe, inclusive team environment.
• Maintaining clinical and technical skills and completing required trainings/CMEs.
• Supporting access to care and pharmacist-delivered clinical services where permissible; assisting the healthcare team.
• Complying with federal/state laws, CVS Health policies, and safeguarding patient privacy.
