Job summary

CVS Health in Ohio is seeking District Support Pharmacists (DSPs) to cover pharmacist scheduling gaps and support pharmacy teams across stores within the district under the Pharmacy Manager and Rx District Leader.

This part-time role, traveling as needed, emphasizes patient safety, immunizations, inventory management, and compliant dispensing while delivering compassionate, high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Active Pharmacist License in the state where the Store is located.
• Active National Provider Identifier (NPI)
• Not on the DEA Excluded Parties list.

Responsibilities

• Travel within a reasonable radius to support market staffing as business needs require.
• Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends.
• Support pharmacy workflow procedures and guide the team to ensure safe and accurate dispensing.
• Act as Pharmacy Manager’s proxy during bench shifts.
• Coach the pharmacy team to deliver compassionate, patient-centered care and resolve insurance/medication issues.
• Immunize patients where permissible and support technicians in immunization efforts.
• Manage pharmacy inventory with focus on protecting cold chain products.
