Job summary

CVS Health is seeking District Support Pharmacists to partner with store teams and ensure safe, compliant dispensing and patient care. You will travel across the district to cover shifts, supervise pharmacy operations, and coach staff toward reliable service and outcomes.

The role emphasizes clinical pharmacology, immunizations where permitted, and collaboration with the pharmacy team to deliver compassionate, accessible care to patients and families.

Qualifications

• Active pharmacist license required to practice in the store state.
• Active National Provider Identifier (NPI) is required.
• Not on the DEA Excluded Parties list is required.
• Willingness to travel within a reasonable district radius.
• Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Dispense medications safely, counsel patients, and immunize where permitted.
• Travel within the district to fill pharmacist shifts and support stores.
• Oversee pharmacy workflow, ensure accurate labeling, and assist with inventory management.
• Act as Pharmacy Manager’s proxy during shifts and support leadership."
• Collaborate with the patient’s healthcare team to resolve insurance and medication issues.
