Job summary

Ross Stores is seeking a District Operations Manager to lead multiple stores within a district, ensuring alignment with company standards and driving customer service, profitability, and shrink reduction. You will recruit, train, and mentor store management teams while leveraging data to guide business decisions and improve performance.

The role requires travel and a valid driver’s license. Hybrid work arrangement with regular in-office collaboration is possible, along with adherence to safety

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Proven ability to adapt quickly to ambiguity and allocate time to execute multiple tasks and changing priorities.
• 5+ years of retail management or operations experience.
• Valid Driver’s License required.
• Travel required.

Responsibilities

• Great/Exceptional People: Recruit and develop store management teams and build succession plans.
• True Customer Service: Serve as a point of contact for Customer Service issues and ensure high levels of service across districts.
• Drive Contribution: Manage expenditures to stay within budget and monitor payroll hours.
• Reduce Shrink: Lead loss prevention initiatives and meet shrink goals.
• Deliver the Treasure/Dealz: Ensure proper merchandising and investigate inventory discrepancies.
