Job summary

Ross Stores is a Fortune 500 off-price retailer operating 2,200+ stores and buying offices nationwide. As Store Manager, you will lead all aspects of store operations, drive sales and profitability, coach a leadership team, and ensure a customer‑friendly, easy‑to‑shop environment while maintaining company standards.

You will manage payroll, scheduling and inventory, mentor Associates, and ensure compliant operations, safety, and strong community presence.

Qualifications

Five+ years of store management experience in retail.
High level of customer service expected.
Ability to lead, manage, motivate and communicate with store associates.
Ability to train, coach and develop associates at all levels.
Ability to organize and prioritize tasks to achieve goals.
Fluency in English is required.
Demonstrates independent judgment and discretion.
Willingness to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

Direct supervision of Assistant Store Manager, area supervisors and all Retail Associates.
Lead store operations to meet company standards and maintain a friendly shopping environment.
Recruit, hire, train and develop staff; address personnel issues as needed.
Manage stockroom, front end and sales floor to ensure timely merchandising.
Ensure compliance with state, local and federal regulations.
Oversee payroll administration and scheduling while controlling expenses.
