Job summary

The Davey Tree Expert Company is seeking an Assistant District Manager in the United States to support district growth and profitability. You’ll lead, serve as a guiding vision, and help enforce policies across operations within the district and market served.

Responsibilities include educating customers about tree care, developing plant health programs, and creating strong client relationships while supervising crews and staff, with on-site duties and up to 25% travel.

Qualifications

• ISA Arborist certification and driver's license required.
• Strong plant and horticulture knowledge for the region.
• Good people skills, self-motivated, computer proficient and organized.
• Knowledgeable in tree care, hazard tree evaluation and IPM practices.
• Pesticide licenses and green-industry degrees are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the District Manager in growing district operations.
• Provide leadership, vision, support, and enforce company policies.
• Educate residential and commercial customers on tree needs and care.
• Prepare estimates and develop plant health care programs.
• Build relationships with clients and supervise crew, sales, and office staff.
• Assist in directing the team as part of the office management group.
