Job summary

The Davey Tree Expert Company is seeking an Assistant District Manager to support district growth and profitability in the Mokena, IL area. The role involves leading operations, enforcing policies, and directing teams across field and office functions.

Responsibilities include educating customers, providing estimates, developing plant health programs, and building client relationships while coordinating crew and sales staff on-site.

Qualifications

• ISA Certified Arborist credentials required or preferred.
• Clean driving record and valid driver’s license.
• Knowledge of regional plant and horticulture practices.
• Strong interpersonal skills and self-motivation.
• Solid understanding of tree care, hazard tree evaluation and IPM.
• Licenses/certifications in pesticides (preferred where state law requires).

Responsibilities

• Assist the District Manager in growing district profitability and implementing company policies.
• Educate residential and commercial customers on tree care needs.
• Provide customers with accurate estimates based on needs.
• Develop and update annual plant health care programs.
• Build relationships with new and existing clients.
• Set up, supervise, and train crew members, sales team, and office staff.
• Support office management in district leadership and direction.
