Job summary

Salado Independent School District is seeking a Network Administrator to manage the district's central networks, including LAN, WLAN, and WAN. You will install, test, and oversee network hardware, PCs, software, and related equipment across the Information Technology department.

The role requires a Bachelor's in CS or MIS or equivalent, and may include CNE/MCSE/CCNP certifications. Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational abilities are essential for this exempt position.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or management information systems, or equivalent experience in network administration.
• CNE, MCSE, CCNP certifications may apply.
• Experience with LAN/WAN design and network installations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the installation and testing of network hardware, software, upgrades, and configurations; ensure maintenance is performed.
• Monitor and analyze network/system utilization; propose improvements as needed.
• Develop and oversee security for all systems and networks; implement backup procedures and disaster recovery plans.
• Provide technical support; liaise with software/hardware vendors to obtain product support.
• Identify and recommend software and hardware to meet district networking needs.
• Compile, maintain, and file reports and documentation; ensure compliance with policies.
