Job summary

Marion P. Thomas Charter School invites applicants for a Coordinator of the District Mentoring Program for the 2026–2027 school year.

The role develops and delivers a yearlong professional learning program for mentors and mentees, with monthly mentee workshops and bi-monthly mentor sessions. Collaboration with Human Resources is expected to align priorities, and confidentiality is required throughout the year.

Qualifications

• Requires NJ educator certificate.
• Experience coaching, mentoring, or developing educators.
• Strong presentation and group facilitation skills.
• Ability to design engaging professional learning for adults.
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop a yearlong mentoring professional learning calendar.
• Create and facilitate monthly mentee workshops on novice teacher topics.
• Design mentor sessions every other month to strengthen coaching and feedback.
• Prepare agendas, materials, and activities for each session.
• Maintain confidentiality and track attendance across sessions.
• Collaborate with Human Resources to align priorities and needs.
• Provide periodic program updates and end‑of‑year summary.
