Job summary

Sunrise Management in San Diego County is seeking a District Manager for Urban Properties who will oversee a portfolio of multifamily communities, supporting onsite teams and maintaining strong client relationships. You will ensure financial performance, policy compliance, and resident satisfaction while driving portfolio growth.

Ideal candidates bring 4–6 years in multifamily management with a current California DRE license, proficiency with Yardi/RealPage, and strong leadership, coaching, and

Qualifications

• Minimum 4–6 years of multifamily property management experience with supervisory responsibility.
• Active California DRE license in good standing.
• Strong understanding of Fair Housing and California landlord/tenant laws.
• Proficiency with property management software (Yardi, RealPage) and Microsoft Office.
• Experience with affordable/tax-credit or mixed-income portfolios.
• Certifications welcomed (CAM, CAPS, ARM, CPM) but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direction and support to Community Managers and onsite teams.
• Conduct regular property visits to assess operations, curb appeal, safety, and resident experience.
• Ensure policies, Fair Housing, and ADA compliance are followed.
• Support budgeting, financial reporting, and revenue optimization.
• Develop leaders, coach staff, and manage onboarding/training.
