Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores is seeking a District Manager in Training in Dennisport, MA. You will rotate through responsibilities to oversee multiple stores with Store Managers in your district, driving sales and service excellence.

You will develop leaders, analyze district performance, and partner on recruiting and training while ensuring payroll, audits, and inventory controls are in place. Travel up to 50% with occasional overnights is required.

Qualifications

• Leadership and supervisory experience required.
• Experience with merchandising required.
• Previous recruiting experience required.
• Excellent communication skills required.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license.
• Ability to lift 30–50 lbs and perform frequent walking/stooping/standing.
• Multi-unit retail management experience preferred (hardlines/variety).

Responsibilities

• Develop store leaders to deliver exceptional shopping experiences.
• Analyze district sales results and trends to increase sales.
• Maintain inventory mix and merchandise presentation to maximize sales.
• Partner with store managers to recruit and train new associates.
• Foster growth of associates into leadership roles.
• Manage payroll hours and store expenses.
• Ensure cash control and regular store audits.
• Monitor shrinkage and inventory control across district.
• Provide exceptional customer service and safe environments.
• Develop relationships with associates, leaders, and communities.
• Travel up to 50% with occasional overnights to support district ops.
