Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores is seeking a Store Manager in Training in the Boston area to lead daily operations, oversee merchandising, and ensure a high standard of customer service. This role includes on-the-job training to manage store profitability and compliance with company policies.

Responsibilities include recruiting staff, coaching associates, managing opening/closing, and implementing corporate directives to maximize profit while maintaining asset protection and a welcoming store environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years retail management experience preferred.
• Experience with hardlines or variety merchandise is preferred.
• Ability to lift 30–50 lbs and perform physical tasks as needed.

Responsibilities

• Recruit and hire store associates to serve customers
• Foster the growth and development of associates through training
• Oversee and delegate all store activities to ensure smooth daily operations
• Ensure full compliance with applicable laws and regulations, while enforcing company policies and procedures
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed
• Implement operational and merchandising direction that is communicated from our corporate headquarters
• Help your store reach its maximum profit contribution
• Protect company assets
• Maintain a high level of customer service across the store
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment while maintaining professional and friendly interactions with customers, associates, and leaders
