Job summary

Better Buzz Coffee is seeking a District Manager to support our growth in San Diego, California. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of multi-unit leadership in a fast-paced drive-thru or quick casual environment.

The District Manager will oversee 5–8 cafes, drive district sales and guest metrics, and report to the Regional Director Operations. Salary is $100K–$130K with full benefits and opportunities to grow within a rapidly expanding brand.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of multi-unit guest service/hospitality management experience.
• Proven ability to develop GMs and lift store performance.
• Strong understanding of store P&L and labor.
• Knowledge of wage-hour rules.

Responsibilities

• Drive district sales, store margin, labor, and guest metrics through the GM team.
• Recruit, develop, and retain strong General Managers; build store-level bench.
• Coach GMs on operations, product quality, cleanliness, and guest experience.
• Ensure consistent execution of standards, promotions, and new products.
• Own staffing levels, scheduling discipline, and turnover reduction.
• Enforce wage-hours, meal/rest, and safety compliance in every store.
• Lead openings and closings within the district and support NSO ramp.
• Complete regular store visits, audits, and action plans.

Responsibilities

Overseeing 5-8 cafes, you will cultivate a positive and people first culture within each location by establishing relationships through consistent and constructive communication. You will inspire our teams to reach financial and operational targets and deliverables by being an example, developing leaders, supporting brand initiatives and effectively holding staff accountable. The foundation of this position will be to identify areas within our operation to create and implement successful solutions for operational success. You will ensure that all business processes are enforced regarding operations and lead the team on all metrics, standards, policies & procedures. You will ensure the Better Buzz experience is positive, fun, and uplifting for all team and guests.

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• 5+ years of multi-unit of prior guest service/hospitality multi-unit manager
• Proven ability to develop GMs and lift store performance
• Strong understanding of store P&L and labor
• Knowledge of applicable wage-hour rules
• Ability to travel within your defined district
• Demonstrated ability to lead and manage operations in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Coffee/café/QSR experience.
• Degree in hospitality or business management
