Job summary

Chesapeake Utilities Corporation is seeking a District Manager to oversee district operations in Dover, DE. This leadership role focuses on delivering exceptional customer experiences, managing the district staff, and driving strategic operational and financial results in a standards-driven environment.

You will lead the district's management team, implement company programs, and ensure compliance with safety regulations while driving growth, profitability and district-wide performance.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of relevant experience in operations management.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook; strong P&L and financial acumen.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational and leadership abilities.
• Ability to supervise and develop district staff.

Responsibilities

• Supervisory Responsibilities: Directly supervises all employees in the district.
• Develops the district staff and management team within the district to deliver legendary customer experiences.
• Drives the implementation of company programs by motivating and supporting the staff and management team within the district to develop and implement action plans that meet operational and organizational objectives.
• Plans, identifies, communicates and delegates key responsibilities and practices to the staff and management team to ensure smooth flow of operations within the district.
• Prepare, review and monitor district financial capital budgets.
• Prepare and monitor monthly operating expenses and sales volumes.
• Monitor all aspects of financial performance and conduct operational analysis.
