Job summary

Qualifications

• California Registered Professional Forester license or eligibility required.
• Strong knowledge of California Forest Practice Rules and THP prep fieldwork.

Responsibilities

• Prepare Timber Harvest Plans (THPs) with research, field work, mapping, and writing.
• Administer contracts for field operations including logging, roads, and services.
• Conduct botanical, wildlife, archeological, road, and watercourse surveys.
• Collaborate on reforestation activities and site preparation.
• Interact with state regulatory agencies and diverse groups.
• Perform forestry project work in varied weather and terrain; hike in remote areas.
• Work both in a team and independently in remote locations.
