I. Job Summary

Manages the full fleet of primary and secondary equipment, focusing on market profitability through effective management of fleet and maintenance activities, including cost control, management development, and safety standards.

Preferred Experience and Qualifications

• Fleet maintenance management or leadership experience
• Heavy-duty diesel and CNG maintenance and parts experience
• Profit and Loss (P&L) experience

II. Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Ensures safe, reliable vehicles meet operational needs. Conducts fleet evaluations to meet maintenance standards.
• Manages maintenance managers to ensure performance and cost efficiency.
• Reviews capital equipment requisitions aligned with corporate guidelines.
• Optimizes vehicle asset utilization.
• Ensures maintenance shops are staffed and mechanics are trained.
• Utilizes vehicle management systems effectively.
• Follows WM’s Mission to Zero standards and regulations for safety and efficiency.
• Meets financial review deadlines and participates in budget processes.
• Promotes a positive, team-oriented environment through employee development.
• Maintains cleanliness and preventive maintenance of shops.
• Handles personnel needs, including hiring, coaching, and performance evaluations.
• Provides training and professional presentations.

III. Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or High School Diploma/GED with 4 years relevant experience
• At least 5 years of relevant experience
• Valid Driver's License

IV. Physical Requirements

Primarily office environment; routine use of standard office equipment.
