Job summary

Fort Zumwalt R-II School District is seeking a District Maintenance Technician (Facilities) to provide a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for staff and students. Starting date is immediate and the position reports to the Director of Facilities.

Responsibilities include general maintenance tasks, painting, light bulb and doorstop replacements, minor repairs, routine preventive maintenance, and coordination with other maintenance staff.

Qualifications

• General maintenance skills including basic carpentry, painting, and minor repairs.
• Ability to follow safety rules and maintain a clean, organized work area.
• Ability to communicate effectively with staff and administrators.
• Must have a valid driver’s license or obtain one within 1 month of employment.

Responsibilities

• General maintenance duties including assembling furniture, painting, replacing bulbs and doorstops.
• Assist maintenance technicians with projects as needed.
• Maintain records and inventory to complete work orders accurately.
• Load and unload materials, equipment, and supplies from trucks.
