Base pay range

$14.69/hr - $22.04/hr

By joining our Engineering Support Branch as a District Facilities Technician, in Jefferson County, you’ll have the opportunity to be responsible for the maintenance and repair of highway buildings and related equipment throughout a specific highway district.

Summary Of Responsibilities

  • Review maintenance or repairs needs.
  • Perform general building maintenance.
  • Oversee the day-to-day activities and check the work of contract personnel.
  • Clean HVAC equipment to ensure proper functionality.
  • Keep record of equipment servicing and maintenance schedules.

Ideal Candidate Will Have Experience In

  • Building maintenance experience.
  • Mechanical maintenance experience.
  • Vocational or technical school training in one of the related fields; building maintenance, mechanical maintenance, skilled trades.
  • Have a valid driver’s license.

Incumbents in this job title will have physically demanding requirements. Incumbents in this job title are required to travel throughout an assigned district. This position requires standing, stooping, bending, and lifting 50 pounds. It also requires the incumbent to work on State Highways with oncoming traffic to repair roads.
