Job summary

JB & Associates, operating Sun Tan City and Buff City Soap stores, seeks a District Maintenance Manager to lead facilities and equipment maintenance. You’ll oversee preventive maintenance, manage budgets and vendors, and ensure safety and brand standards across multiple locations.

The role requires travel across states, strong leadership, and hands-on maintenance skills to keep sites operational and ready for customers.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of building systems, repairs, and maintenance; hands-on experience is a plus.
• Ability to manage budgets, vendors, and multiple projects to on-time, on-budget completion.
• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and follow-through.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with leadership and trades.
• Ability to travel regularly across a multi-state market.

Responsibilities

• Own preventive maintenance for facilities and equipment, incl. tanning equipment, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and soap equipment.
• Manage work-order system; prioritize, assign, and track requests from intake to completion.
• Establish and manage maintenance budget; review invoices and identify cost savings.
• Source and manage vendors/contractors; ensure scope, timeline, quality, and cost.
• Ensure sites meet safety, sanitation and regulatory standards.
• Respond to emergencies to minimize downtime and revenue loss.
• Track equipment lifecycle and plan capital replacements.
• Align maintenance priorities with business and customer experience goals.
