Job summary

Public Schools of Brookline seeks a part-time Extramural Coordinator to oversee district extramural sports for K-8 across Brookline. You will coordinate schedules, hire and supervise building coordinators and coaches, and ensure safe, compliant programming district-wide.

Collaborate with principals, athletic staff, students and families to communicate changes, manage permits and transportation, and uphold eligibility rules. The role requires collaboration and strong organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Must be a current UNIT A member.
• Candidate must be eligible to work in the United States.
• All candidates must pass a PSB suitability determination including background check.

Responsibilities

• Create and distribute schedules for district extramural seasons.
• Assist Principals with hiring building coordinators and coaches.
• Collaborate with building coordinators and the athletic department on programming and scheduling.
• Communicate with students and families about changes.
• Ensure safe and appropriate extramural sports programming.
• Coordinate coaching education and prepare coaches for activities.
• Manage transportation, facilities, and permits for meets and competitions.
• Plan extramural tournaments and games.
• Supervise end-of-season tournaments and assign coordinators.
• Distribute and update district sports rules and related documentation.
• Schedule and track payments for officials and coaches.
• Manage awards and certificates as needed.
• Support problem-solving with school building coordinators throughout the year.
• Collaborate with principals to implement effective programming and determine eligibility.
