DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This role oversees the review of transportation plans and related environmental requirements to ensure full compliance with laws and policies. It supports the development and evaluation of environmental programs and commitments across the District. As a District Environmental Manager, you will perform the following duties:

• Environmental Review: Coordinate environmental analyses and guide preparation of required reports
• Permit Management: Support waterway permitting activities and ensure permit requirements are met
• Program Compliance: Assist with monitoring and improving district programs related to Municipal Separate Storm Sewer System and Strategic Environmental Management Program
• Policy Development: Help shape district policies for stormwater control measure design and maintenance
• Mitigation Oversight: Manage district commitments involving environmental mitigation and related inspections

Work Schedule and Additional Information

• Full‑time employment
• Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30‑minute lunch.
• Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part‑time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high‑speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Dunmore. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements

• Seven years of professional planning experience in local, regional, or state planning including two years in a supervisory capacity; or
• Two years of experience as an Environmental Planning Supervisor (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
• A Master’s degree in planning or one of the environmental sciences and five years of professional planning experience, including two years in a supervisory capacity; or
• Any equivalent combination of experience and training.

Other Requirements

• This particular position also requires possession of an active non-commercial Pennsylvania Class C Driver’s License or equivalent.
