Job summary

The ideal candidate has a 4-year engineering degree and 5–7 years of related management experience, with strong Lean Six Sigma knowledge and the ability to work independently or in a team.

Qualifications

• 4 year degree in Engineering, Materials Science related field or equivalent.
• 5-7 years related management experience.
• Demonstrated ability to apply knowledge to new systems to develop quality controls.
• Knowledge and practice of lean principles & Six Sigma.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to use mathematics to solve problems.
• Critical thinking to identify strengths/weaknesses of options.
• Complex problem solving to evaluate options and implement solutions.
• Operations analysis to create design requirements.
• Sensitivity to confidential information.

Responsibilities

• Confer with management, production, and marketing staff to discuss project specifications and procedures.
• Coordinate and direct projects, making detailed plans and directing integration of technical activities.
• Analyze technology, resource needs, and market demand to plan and assess project feasibility.
• Plan and direct installation, testing, operation, maintenance, and repair of facilities and equipment.
• Direct, review, and approve product design and changes.
• Recruit employees; assign, direct, and evaluate their work; oversee staff competence development.
• Perform related duties as required.
