Job summary

Martin Marietta is seeking a District Engineer to support the Midwest region operations, reporting to the Regional VP/GM. You will drive operational excellence by improving plant and product availability, safety, and scheduling, and lead improvement initiatives.

The role involves managing multiple projects across sites, leading teams, analyzing data and equipment histories, and presenting findings to leadership. Strong communication and change-management skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil, Mechanical or Mining Engineering or Construction Management.
• 2+ years of project management/related experience.
• Competency in operation processes, and the ability to manage and implement change.
• Experience analyzing aggregate operational performance data.
• Experience designing and creating Tableau reports for KPI performance data evaluation.
• Experience modeling surface limestone, underground limestone, and sand/gravel processing plant flows with AggFlow preferred

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple projects across several sites within the division.
• Lead teams to improve processes for operational excellence.
• Analyze data, records and equipment histories to ensure accurate tracking.
• Troubleshoot problems and implement corrective actions through root cause analysis.
• Complete responsibilities while adhering to all company safety policies and procedures.
• Present audit findings to management and suggest improvements.
• Develop dashboards and reporting analytics for operations and safety insights.
