Job summary

Waste Management is seeking an experienced Operations Leader to manage day-to-day district or multi-site operations, uphold safety standards, and drive cost efficiency. You will oversee staff activities, coach teams, and support P&L management while coordinating with local agencies and customers to ensure service excellence and contract performance. This full-time role requires strong leadership and budget discipline.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree required; two years relevant work experience if only HS.
• 4 years in a role with supervisory and/or P&L responsibility (in addition to education requirements).
• Safety and regulatory standards knowledge essential.

Responsibilities

• Manages day-to-day district operations and supports Operations Managers to ensure safety, service, and savings.
• Ensures safety and compliance with company, OSHA, and other standards.
• Leads staffing decisions, coaching, disciplining, training, and performance evaluations.
• Participates in P&L reviews and budget adherence; optimizes equipment and labor costs.
• Interacts with local agencies to renew/Negotiate contracts and maintain customer satisfaction.
