Bexar County District Court is seeking a District Court Staff Attorney to review and respond to orders and correspondence for the District Court Judges, draft legal documents, research statutory and case law, and perform special projects as needed.

The ideal candidate will hold a Juris Doctor and be licensed to practice in Texas, demonstrate strong legal research and writing abilities, supervise interns and court staff, and cooperate with judges and administrators to ensure timely, accurate

Qualifications

• Requires JD and four years of legal practice.
• Licensed to practice law in Texas.
• Ability to supervise and train interns.
• Strong research and writing skills for court procedure issues.
• Knowledge of Texas court rules and procedures.

Responsabilités

• Review and respond to orders and correspondence to District Court Judges and administrators.
• Prepare orders on Habeas Corpus and related documents.
• Research statutory and case law using all available resources.
• Draft legislative proposals for District Court Judges.
• Supervise Juvenile Courts Pre-Trial Services personnel and interns.
• Monitor appellate opinions for relevant decisions.
