Job summary

Tucson Unified School District is seeking a proactive Project Manager to administer contracts and oversee district-wide construction programs. You will manage timelines, prepare cost estimates, maintain documentation, and communicate with diverse stakeholders to keep projects on schedule and within budget.

Strong leadership and PM software experience are required. Location on-site in Tucson; candidate must meet pre-start requirements and have supervisory experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in project management, technology, business administration or related field with two years’ experience.
• Associate’s degree with four years of experience in building construction or construction management.
• Six years of experience managing projects and project teams in building construction, renovations, and construction management.
• One year of supervisory experience.
• Strong understanding of various project management methodologies.
• Experience with project management software tools such as Smartsheet, Microsoft Project or similar.
• Strong background in Microsoft Office solutions (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access, etc.).
• Strong knowledge of software implementation best practices.
• Excellent written, oral, and presentation skills including presenting reports, charts, and graphs in public presentations.
• Skilled in facilitating and leading meetings.
• Knowledge of OSHA, State and City building and fire codes and regulations.
• Proficient using word processing, database, spreadsheet programs and project software programs.
• Verbal & written communication skills in English.

Responsibilities

• Administers professional and construction contracts to ensure all TUSD buildings are constructed safely and are functional.
• Oversees district-wide construction projects from initiation through completion.
• Manage timelines, develop precise cost estimates, maintain rigorous documentation and foster transparent communication with stakeholders.
