Job summary

Matrix Service, Inc. in Tucson, AZ is seeking a Project Manager to direct multiple field projects of moderate risk and complexity, guiding and mentoring junior PMs.

You will coordinate with clients, manage scope, budget, and schedule, and travel to project sites as required for extended periods. The role requires 8+ years of PM/P&L experience, a related engineering or construction degree, and strong leadership and communication skills.

Qualifications

• 4-year degree in Mechanical, Civil or Industrial Engineering, or Construction Management; or combination of equivalent education and 10 years job-related experience if no degree
• 8+ years job-related experience, PM/P&L preferred; includes 4+ years supervisory experience
• PMI Project Management Certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Actively supports safety and company core values
• Liaises with client to facilitate construction activities and assess scope/resources
• Represents company in bid, project, and strategy meetings
• Establishes project objectives, policies and performance standards
• Plans, staffs and supervises field positions and on-site supervision
• Provides technical assistance, interprets drawings and recommends methods
• Manages project profit/loss and contract financials
• Develops new business opportunities for clients or geographic area
