Job summary

The Greater Philadelphia YMCA seeks a District Team Leader to guide operations across multiple BASE/ELC sites in Conshohocken, PA, ensuring program quality, family satisfaction, and profitability. You will coach Site Leaders and Directors, model YMCA values, and drive impactful family experiences across the district.

Responsibilities include safeguarding licensing compliance, mentoring leaders, managing HR functions, and fostering collaboration with schools and community partners.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree preferred or equivalent education and experience.
• Minimum 2 years as a multi-unit manager.
• Direct P&L experience.
• Knowledge of child care licensing regulations preferred.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
• Demonstrated ability to build collaborative relationships and foster teamwork.
• Experience in fast-paced, high-growth entrepreneurial environment is a plus.
• Excellent judgment, problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Promote and represent the YMCA’s mission and values. Serve as a member of the association staff team and maintain a consistent YMCA image.
• Analyze Net Promoter Scores to ensure the best family/child experience.
• Oversee curriculum implementation and ensure high-quality program delivery and continuous improvement.
• Maintain direct profit & loss responsibility for the Region, District and sites.
• Market childcare programs at school and community events; promote growth opportunities in their area.
• Ensure sites meet state licensing requirements.
• Implement SOPs to achieve high-quality ratings.
• Develop positive relationships with school admin, family-teacher groups, vendors, and GPY staff.
• Manage HR functions including scheduling, hiring, and staff development.
• Foster motivation and leadership.
• Mentor Site Team Leaders for growth through training and feedback.
• Provide performance evaluations and recognition programs.
• Foster diversity, inclusion, and cultural competence.
• Prioritize safety and child protection with zero tolerance for non-compliance.
• Follow GPY SOPs and CDC guidelines for health and safety.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
