Job summary

Greater Philadelphia YMCA is seeking a Site Leader for a full-time, hourly position at Columbia North YMCA in Philadelphia, PA. The role requires a degree in education or human services and at least 2 years of childcare experience.

Responsibilities include leading before/after school programs, ensuring safety and quality, and coordinating staff and family communications. The position offers comprehensive benefits, YMCA membership, and program discounts, with annual training and development

Qualifications

• Present degree documentation from an accredited college or university in education or human services as defined by state licensing regulations.
• Verify a minimum of 2 years (2500 hours) of childcare experience.

Responsibilities

• Read and be accountable for YMCA Policies, state licensing regulations, and Quality Rating System standards.
• Develop and manage the overall strategy for delivering programs related to Before and After School Child Care.
• Ensure staff excellence in the delivery of high quality and safety for all programs.
• Direct and maintain environments that build children's self-esteem and use positive behavior management techniques.
• Supervise staff to maintain safety, attendance, and ratios at all times.
• Communicate effectively with parents/guardians about children's progress and maintain confidentiality.
• Plan daily child-centered activities and developmentally appropriate learning experiences.
• Maintain accurate staff and child records in accordance with licensing regulations.
