Job summary

The Greater Philadelphia YMCA is seeking an experienced professional for the 2026-2027 school year. We want someone passionate about bringing the best out in kids, connecting to our community, and having fun!

Qualifications

• Achievement of a degree from an accredited college or university in an education or human services related field.
• 2+ years verified child care experience (2500 hours).
• Ability to pass all relevant clearances and keep up to date on trainings.

Responsibilities

• Finding new ways to help kids learn while maintaining control of environments.
• Implement and plan curriculum ensuring appropriate learning experiences.
• Conduct weekly child observations and record related behavioral concerns.
• Communicate effectively with parents regarding children's experiences.
• Maintain daily attendance records and comply with paperwork.
• Ensure centers are maintained with quality learning materials.
• Attend team-planning meetings monthly.
• Supervise all staff on site.
