Job summary

Watson Chapel School District in Pine Bluff, Arkansas is seeking a Director of Chief Finance Officer/ Business Manager to oversee the district's financial operations, budgeting, and reporting. The position reports to the Superintendent and requires leadership of the Business Office and internal controls.

The role requires a Master’s degree in a related field, preferably with a CPA or equivalent credential, and significant district or governmental accounting experience.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, public administration, or related field is required.
• Significant experience in accounting, finance, budgeting, or related field.
• School district or governmental accounting experience preferred.
• Current accounting credential preferred; required credentials or training per law or district policy must be maintained.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and manage district financial affairs and business operations.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting to Superintendent and Board.
• Coordinate annual financial audit and respond to findings with action plans.
• Maintain internal controls and safeguarding of district assets.
