Qualifications

• Current and valid First Class Stationary Engineers License

• Incumbents may need a valid driver's license at a class level specific to assignment

Responsibilities

• Conduct inspections of boilers and pressure vessels to determine compliance with applicable laws and standards
• Inspect materials, welding, safety devices, piping, and construction quality for safety and compliance
• Review repair methods and welding procedures and witness hydrostatic tests
• Perform tests such as hydrostatic and ultrasonic testing to verify condition of equipment
• Communicate findings to engineers and owners to address nonconformance and safety issues
