Job summary

Qualifications

• Master's Degree required; Specialist Degree preferred.
• Valid Georgia Teaching Certificate; Valid Georgia Leadership Certificate.
• Experience: 3 years teaching experience; district or building leadership experience preferred.
• Knowledge, skills & abilities: Written and oral communication; knowledge of assessment development, assessment literacy, and formative instructional practices; ability to organize and prioritize multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates prompt and regular attendance.
• Provides proactive leadership for the Office of Assessment & Data in assessment development and professional learning.
• Maintains a close working relationship with school-based and district level administrators to ensure information exchange and coordination of efforts.
• Responds in a timely manner to requests for information or assistance.
• Develops and facilitates professional learning for district and school staff pertaining to assessment development and assessment literacy, formative instructional practices, and data analysis to inform instruction.
• Supports the Assistant Director of Assessment & Data with organizational analysis and development.
• Collaborates with other departments to develop procedures and guidelines for district assessments and troubleshooting district assessment platform issues; serves as liaison for CTLS Assess.
• Manages development and revision of district-developed assessments and assessment items; liaison for district assessments.
• Prepares or oversees district assessment data reports and supporting documentation.
• Keeps up to date on state mandates and district priorities as they relate to responsibilities.
• Utilizes technology tools for data driven decision making.
• Assists division personnel in trends and developments in assessment policy and research.
• Serves on district committees and task forces in support of district initiatives and priorities.
• Performs other duties as assigned by appropriate administrator.
