Job summary

Canteen, part of Compass Group USA, is seeking a District Accounting Manager to oversee payroll, benefits administration, month-end close, and financial reporting across its district operations.

You will supervise A/R/A/P processes, support the general ledger, and collaborate with auditors to ensure compliance and accuracy. Five-plus years in financial management preferred; bachelor’s degree required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance or related field.
• Minimum five years of financial management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Handle day-to-day HR issues including payroll, benefits, training, FMLA/Worker’s Comp, and regulatory compliance.
• Manage cash handling, banking coordination, and related services.
• Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable processes.
• Assist in weekly reporting and period close; ensure GL accuracy and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Assist in analyzing financial statements and forecasting for profit improvements.
